Welcome!

What is
Farm School?

We believe learning happens best when kids are outside, with their hands in the dirt, solving real problems alongside people who care about them. For eight years, we proved that on a three-acre working farm in Northern California — goats, chickens, gardens, and kids thriving in ways a classroom never let them.

Now we're doing something bigger: taking the Farm School model and adapting it for public schools, private programs, and homeschool families who want the same thing for their kids. Pasture Raised Kids is the organization behind it.

Farm School thrives as a microschool model — hands-on, nature-based, student-led, proven over eight years on a working farm. Now we're helping other communities build their own.

Any classroom can think like Farm School. We've turned eight years of hands-on, nature-based teaching into tools and trainings educators can use wherever they teach.

We're partnering with public school districts to bring the Farm School approach into public education — proving it can work at scale, not just in a private setting.

Educational Freedom

Parents and children should be empowered to lead their

Hands on Learning

Knowledge is the product of action. Children learn best when they are engaged in active, hands-on exploration and interaction with their environment. (Jean Piaget)
